The Council of Catholic Women is excited to present Bishop Barron's new DVD series,
"CATHOLICISM: The Pivotal Players" on six Thursday nights, 7:00 p.m., in the St. Francis Room.
The dates are Feb. 16, Feb. 23, Mar. 16, Mar. 23, Mar. 30, and Apr. 6.
St. Francis of Assisi, the Reformer, radically and literally lived as Jesus commanded to transform the Church.
St. Thomas Aquinas, the Theologian, demonstrated that faith and reason are not at odds, as they come from the same source.
St. Catherine of Siena, the Mystic, gave testimony to the reality of the spiritual dimension here and beyond.
Blessed John Henry Newman, the Convert, left a prestigious career to seek and preach the apostolic faith.
G.K. Chesterton, the Evangelist, publicly, humbly, and humorously announced the paradoxes and truth of Christianity.
Michelangelo, the Artist, dramatically demonstrated that beauty and creativity are a primary route of access to God.

The JDCCW February Frolic event, "The Heart of Jesus," will be held on February 25, 2017, at Al's Steak House in Joliet.
Luncheon and entertainment are featured.

The Council of Catholic Women has been providing grade level appropriate service opportunities for Religious Education students.
Third and fourth grade students will be creating "blessings bags" for the homeless. To accomplish this, we will be relying upon
generous contributions of supplies listed below. Please bring items to the designated collection box the weekends of
January 28/29 and February 4/5 or to your child's RE class the weeks of January 30--February 10.
